Cardno Emerging Markets, Belgium s.a. is currently seeking a full-time Junior Recruiter in Brussels. We manage long-term development projects funded by the European Union to support both the public and private sectors in transition and developing economies. We specialise in technical assistance and capacity building to foster environments conducive to economic growth and poverty reduction.

The Junior Recruiter will work closely with the Business Development and Project Management teams to support the sourcing of experts on future and ongoing projects. The role will include the following tasks and responsibilities:

  • Posting advertisements on appropriate websites and social media;
  • Conducting searches for experts in Cardno’s in-house and external databases;
  • Screening, contacting and negotiating with experts in coordination with the recruitment and project teams;
  • Conducting expert reference checks;
  • Uploading CVs in Cardno’s in-house database;
  • Building long-term relationships with experts to maximise collaboration;
  • Assisting the proposal teams with the evaluation, selection, tailoring and formatting of experts’ CVs for proposals;
  • Maintaining the recruiting mailbox.

To be selected in this role, you are requested to demonstrate the following:

  • University degree in a relevant field – a Master’s degree or equivalent is preferred;
  • At least one year of professional experience in a recruitment-related role, preferably in an international environment;
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented attitude for identifying, attracting and retaining the best consultants in line with business needs;
  • Experience in working as part of a team as well as autonomously, with proven ability to efficiently handle time pressure;
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, with excellent working knowledge of both English and French (additional languages can be an asset);
  • Prior exposure to economic development / development assistance / international cooperation / European affairs is desirable.

Interviews will be held in June-July 2017. The position is expected to start on 1st August 2017.
